Vahagn Dadrian, prominent American-Armenian historian, Professor in Sociology, internationally acclaimed expert in the issues on the Armenian Genocide, was born in 1926.
Dadrian was a professor in Sociology at the New York University in 1970-90. Then he left the carrier of a teaching professor and devoted his time to leading the group of Armenian Genocide History researchers. Professor Dadrian was the first Armenian scholar who was invited to deliver a lecture on the occasion of 80th anniversary of commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in the House of Commons at the British Parliament.
After having delivered a series of lectures on the occasion of 90th anniversary of Armenian Genocide’s commemoration, Dadrian was announced an honourable professor of four Armenia based Universities. At present, Professor Dadrian is the head of “Zoryan” Institute for Genocide Studies.
